After I got out I and a few other women supporters decided to start an advocacy group for inmates in county jails. We have a website and a group called Texas Jail Project. texasjailproject.org. This texas legislation two bills regarding pregnant inmates were passed. Women who give birth in jail can not be shackled any longer.
